Frank Harris (February 14, 1856 - August 27, 1931) was an author & editor.
Frank Harris was innate James Thomas Harris within Galway, Ireland, February 14, 1856. He foremost come to general notice when the editor of a series of London papers including the Evening News, a Fortnightly View & a Saturday View, a latter existence a highpoint of his journalistic career, with H. G. Wells and George Bernard Shaw as regular contributors. His afterwards career as a journalist involved a spell editing the New York Pearson's Magazine.
He too wrote short stories & novels, 2 books in Shakespeare, a series of biographic sketches within 5 volumes under a title 'Contemporary Portraits' & life history of his friends Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw. His tries at playwriting were less successful, by using exclusively 1, 'Mrs. Daventry' (1900) which was according to an idea by Oscar Wilde, ever being produced on the stage.
His right-known function is his autobiography, 'Our Life & Loves' (1922-27), which was published within 4 volumes when he was alive. The dubious fifth volume purportedly taken from either his notes was published inside 1954, yearn when his dying. 'Our Life & Loves' is ill-famed for its graphic descriptions of Harris's reputed intimate encounters & for its exaggeration of the scope of his risky venture, his art & his role around history.
